Principal's Message

 

Dear Byrd Middle School Families,

I am thrilled to announce my arrival to the Byrd Middle School community. As an educator with over 13 years of diverse experience, including roles as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, CTE Director, and elementary principal, I am eager to contribute to the academic journey of our students. Aside from being an educator, I’m the proud husband to Lyndsie, who serves as the Transition Specialist in Cedar Hill ISD, and our three children: Audra, a sophomore in ECA at Cedar Hill High School; William “Deuce”, who will be entering 6th grade at Bessie Coleman Middle School; and Asher, a proud Acton Panther.

The campus is abuzz with anticipation as we prepare for the upcoming school year. Our primary objective is to forge strong partnerships between the school and families to maximize each student’s potential. Drawing from my educational background, I emphasize the importance of building relationships, establishing clear expectations, and fostering open communication with all stakeholders. At #ByrdHouse, our commitment is to engage students in meaningful learning experiences, uphold rigorous standards, and prepare them for the challenges ahead in high school and beyond.

I am eager to collaborate with each of you to support our students and cultivate their development as the new principal. Every decision we make will be purposeful, guided by our students' best interests. As we embark on this journey together and #LeadwithImpact this school year, student growth remains our utmost priority.
